Remember the famous speech that started with “I had a dream”. Well! This Fall Engagement photoshoot kind of started just like that. I had a vision – an idea :). Being a natural light, outdoor loving photographer, I really wanted to style a simple engagement shoot in the Fall surrounded by falling leaves, bare trees and crisp nippy air :). I knew the perfect forest preserve that would act as the backdrop for my fun Fall Themed Engagement photoshoot – Knoch Knolls Park in Naperville, IL. I did a quick casting call and found Megan and Ben. These two love the outdoors just as much as me and were completely game for an Engagement photoshoot in the Forest Preserve. Just to keep things colorful and fun, I also added a quick fall picnic basket – with hot coco, a cozy blanket, a thermos and a lantern – everything you need for a quick hike in the woods.
Megan and Ben are actually engaged and getting married on August 1st of this year. So we personalized their hot chocolate mugs with their wedding date! – it was such a perfect idea for a “Save the date” photo.

We started the photoshoot in the evening just before the sun set. The golden light was perfect for this fall engagement photoshoot. The light and the bare trees added just the right amount of magic! 🙂
Megan and Ben were so perfect for each other – Ben makes Megan laugh and she has such an adorable laugh! – her eyes and face completely light up and Ben gets this sweet smile – so adorable!
We hiked into the preserve and found the perfect log to have our little hot chocolate picnic 🙂

Towards the end of the session, the sun had disappeared and it was getting quite chilly. Megan had this brilliant idea for a quick warm up…they used the hot coco cups to warm their noses! 🙂 🙂 – I just happen to be clicking away and found this next series of image so incredibly cute!
