On this 13th anniversary of September 11th – a day that is still so fresh in all our minds and hearts – I couldn’t think of a more appropriate family portrait session to blog about.
The J family are amazing. They have been hosting international students in their home for several years and have had students from all the world visit and live with them for several weeks in the summer. They open their home and their hearts to each of these kids and go above and beyond to ensure these kids have a fantastic experience living life away from their home and their home country. Each and every student is special and the family bonds that are formed are so strong. The J family wanted to capture family portraits before two of their kids left home – one off to college and the other off to Germany – his home country. The more time I spent with these guys, the more I realized that family is not about blood ties or lineage but about the relationships that we form in our hearts and those that withstand the test of time and distance! – What better way to document this love than via a family photoshoot. And yes, I kept thinking Daniele Radcliffe was a part of this shoot 🙂 🙂
