Naperville Portrait Photographer – Indian Glamour Portraits

Glamour isn’t always about bling. Glamour isn’t always bold. For a woman, Glamour is anything that makes her look and feel confident, feminine and in control. It was such an awesome experience to photograph my lovely client in one the most feminine of all garments – a saree – as part of her outdoor glamour portrait session. For those of you who don’t know, a saree been the traditional garment of Indian women for generations at end. It is six yards of cloth, one straight length without any zips or stitches.

Most Indian women, me included, find it rather intimidating and a challenge to wear a saree for any length of time. But after seeing R rock her saree for her outdoor glamour portraits, I am very motivated to dust off my saree collection and go back to my Indian roots 🙂 🙂

The simple red cotton sari and contrasting blue blouse was perfection. Simple yet elegant gold jewellery added just the right amount of bling to this glamour portrait session. Makeup by PrettybyPia was the icing on the cake – that girl knows her stuff!
