Bloomingdale Golf Club Wedding Photographer – Claire and Pete Married

As a wedding photographer, each and every wedding you photograph holds special meaning. After all, a wedding photographer is with the couple on one of the most important day of their lives! But there are some weddings and some couples that are super special. You know, the ones that realize that a wedding does not have to be a super stressful affair, it can be fun, happy and relaxing – all at the same time. By the end of the evening, they make you feel like you are part of the immediate family! 🙂

Claire and Pete’s Bloomingdale Golf Club Wedding was one of my most anticipated events of the year 🙂 🙂 – Claire booked me after a 10 minute conversation over the phone. Her email to me literally said “We would love for you to be our wedding photographer. When I spoke to you, I felt like I was speaking to an old friend!” – who says that to someone they have just met/spoken to!!!

Claire and Pete’s wedding was simple and beautiful! Their bridal party was such a riot and I think the pictures are true testament to the great family and friends that surround this beautiful couple. They choose to add in elements of Pete’s Irish/Celtic traditions of ‘the tying the knot’ and ‘calling the quarters’ delivered by Claire’s cousin who officiated the wedding. And the flower girl and ring bearer!! – the cutest I have ever seen!

Last week I shared the first set of images from the Lemonade and Lens Inspired By event in Denver Colorado. Hailey’s Denver Bridal Portraits were stunning – the light, location and styling was out of this world. The second part of the workshop was a Denver wedding shoot with Savannah and Adam. Bridal Portraits in Castle Cliff Estates in Denver Colorado

I have always wanted to photograph in the mountains and particularly in Denver. Colorado is such a pretty state and the light there reflected by all the greenery and the mountains seems out of this world. In June, I had the opportunity to travel to Denver for a workshop organized by Lemonade and Lens. The day was full of learning, camaraderie with other talented photographers and photographing beautiful people and beautiful things.

Hailey’s bridal session images are one of my favorite till date! – I just love how these images convey light and beauty, don’t you think? Bridal portraits are so much fun! – not to mention the adorable pony who made his way towards the end of the shoot – Hailey and he seem to bond instantly and he was like a puppy following her around…LOL.

Ashton Place Chicago Wedding Photographer – Majid and Jenel Married

Majid and Jenel had a wonderful 5 day wedding celebration at the end of May that was magical and full of fun family moments. I photographed their wedding reception in Ashton Place in Willowbrook and bridal portraits in the Willowbrook Community Park on one of the days and it was so much fun. Jenel looked so beautiful with her henna, bangles and red bridal lengha! We even “borrowed” a Schwin bicycle from a lady at the park as a prop for their bridal portraits – completely Bollywood style…LOL

Both Majid and Jenel are a fun loving couple but so grounded in their love not only for each other but also for their families. Family from near and far came to participate in the festivities – Majid’s grandmother came all the way from India!

Majid’s dad said it best during his speech at the reception – he said “It’s like three mighty rivers are coming together – Hindu, Muslim and Christian faiths are joining as one – to form a large big ocean that is going to do beautiful things in the future!” – What a wonderful thought and appropriate description for this inter-racial wedding!
