Earlier this week I had the pleasure of working on a Traditional Indian Concept Session – photographing some lovely ladies for an amazing charity – Varosha. This lifestyle photo session was to showcase the work of women artisans. Varosha provides these women vocational training in various skills like embroidery, fabric painting and weaving. Their amazing work can be see in the beautiful saris that are showcased here. These saris will be sold at an exhibition in a few weeks and the money raised will be sent back to Varosha to fund future projects.
They even roped me into showcasing a beautiful shawl full of delicate embroidery 🙂 🙂
From their website – http://www.varosha.org
Varosha helps the disadvantaged work towards self-sufficiency and a sustainable quality of life through vocational training, education, support, and experience.
Varosha also accepts donations on their website – so if you would love the work seen here, feel free to contribute directly to Varosha.
