Floral Love – Lifestyle Portraits of a gardener

I am in love with this lifestyle portrait session! It is so different from my normal genre of family portraits and wedding photography but it has been one that I have really enjoyed. Ms. R contacted me inquiring about senior portraits for her daughter (yes, its hard to believe this lovely lady has teenage kids!) and one thing led to another and soon we were taking about lifestyle portraits for her. She is an avid gardener – her backyard is a beautiful space filled with many different kinds of flowers and trees. She wanted to document her love for her outdoor space and as we started brainstorming ideas for a portrait shoot, we choose a simple storyboard that included her interested – her flowers, her garden, her outdoor sanctuary and her lovely home. It was such an added bonus that her adorable dog, Champ decided he needed to be a part of his mom’s lifestyle portrait session 🙂 🙂

I love how these images turned out – a story of one of R’s greatest passions – a gardener in her outdoor sanctuary!
